The Structure group of the Analyst Resource Center periodically reviews the structure of the WID and makes modifications when they feel it is appropriate to do so. When modifications occur, a new version of the WID is created. While states are required to update their WID to the latest version, we realize that the transition to newer versions can take time. Therefore, the ARC will maintain documentation and provide support for the current and past two versions of the WID.
These files contain data at different levels of geography, sometimes including data for counties, statistical areas or other sub-state regions.
